Design Highlights
Bob W’s design takes a nod from Amsterdam Noord’s historic docks and shipyards, but with a modern twist. Imagine the gritty, industrial past morphing into sleek and playful designs, all dressed up in colours borrowed from warm, old-school bricks. Kadri Tonto, Bob’s interior architect, mixes warm tones and natural materials to create a space that feels both playful and cosy. The custom made furnishings are a collaborative effort with HollowayLi, an internationally award-winning design agency, adding an extra layer of finesse to the space.
Interior design
Alewijn Don, better known as Don Drawings, is the local talent spicing up Bob’s Amsterdam Noord apartments. This self-taught artist and conceptual designer pulls from 20th century art movements like Suprematism and Bauhaus to craft his unique take on Amsterdam’s architecture. You’ll see his influence right above your bed–a tapestry that blends perfectly with the room’s warm tones and black accents. He’s created over 200 pieces of art that infuse the local Noord scene into our flagship property, adding a touch of warmth and local character to your stay.
Furniture & Surfaces
Custom wooden furniture – The bespoke furniture designed by Holloway Li for Bob W perfectly complements the space and reflects its unique style. Every piece is carefully selected for its long-lasting quality.
Floors - The apartments feature a herringbone-patterned floor, reminiscent of the opulent canal-side houses of yesteryears. It serves as an exquisite complement to the raw, exposed concrete ceilings found throughout the property.
Local Decor
Wall Art and tapestry design: The creations found around the apartments were commissioned by Bob and brought to life by Amsterdam-based self-taught artist and conceptual designer Alewijn Don, also known as Don Drawings.
Bed cushions: Designed and crafted by the esteemed - and always fun - local furniture brand, Fest.

The building
This modern, energy-efficient complex in Amsterdam Noord was freshly built in 2023. Most of these apartments are located in a building that will feature a restaurant, wellness center, and co-working space in the summer of 2024. Several of the apartments are located in a smaller neighbouring brick building. These apartments are located on the first through fourth floors and are accessible by lift. This is a contactless property, which means there’s no front desk. You can access both the building and your space with a convenient door code, and our super-responsive online support team is here for you day and night. The property has limited paid parking available.
