The Weather At Disneyland- A 12 Month Guide (2024)

If you’re planning a visit to the Disneyland resort in the near future, you’re probably wondering what you can expect from the weather. I’m so glad you’re thinking ahead about the weather at Disneyland so you can be prepared! Nice job. Or, maybe you’re trying to figure out the best time to visit with your family. Either way, I’m glad you’re here!

Most people assume Disneyland has very mild temperatures, but it can get quite hot or very cold depending on the time of year. I’ve experienced all kinds of weather at Disneyland over the years. From the hottest months, to rainy days, this post will cover the weather at Disneyland one month at a time, including average temperatures and low temperatures for Anaheim in Southern California. I hope it’s helpful for you! Before you know it, you’ll be walking down Main Street with a churro in hand. You’re going to have such a good time!

January

The weather at Disneyland in January can be tricky. The average high temperature is 69 F degrees with an average low of 47 F. You’ll want to dress in layers and make sure you have a warm jacket or sweater. Those California nights can be chilly!

You need to be prepared for rain. Rain at Disneyland can thin crowds, but it can also ruin your day if you’re not prepared. Check out my rainy day tips here to make sure you have everything you need.

February

February is the rainiest month at Disneyland! Be prepared for rain showers. Rain can put your whole trip in jeopardy. Seriously. I’ve seen it happen. Keep an eye on the weather as your trip gets closer. I do enjoy visiting Disneyland in February! Although there’s a chance of rain, you’ll usually get nice weather. In my opinion, it’s the best month to visit.

Make sure you check here for all of my rainy day tips and must haves to survive the rain. Trust me, a dollar store pocho isn’t going to cut it on a rainy day at Disneyland, you’ll need to be prepared with rain jackets! The average high is February is 69 F and the average low is 48 F.

March

The weather forecast in March is usually a pretty sunny at Disneyland. There’s still a chance of rain here and there, but usually nothing crazy! The average high in March is 71 F and the average low is 52 F.

The moderate temperatures and spring break season make it a popular time to visit. Make sure you keep an eye on the weather, so you can be prepared for rain if need be. The days will be sunny, but the evenings can be chilly. Make sure you pack a jacket for the cooler morning and evenings.

April

The weather at Disneyland in April usually has pretty mild, sunny weather. The days are starting to warm up, nights aren’t as chilly and the rainy season has mostly come and gone.

The average high is 74 degrees F with an average low of 54 degrees F. You may still want to pack a jacket for those chilly evenings. Keep an eye on the weather leading up to your trip so you can be prepared just in case a rainy day pops up!

May

Disneyland in May usually has incredible weather. I love visiting this month for this very reason! Crowds may be higher, but the amazing weather makes up for it. You can expect lots of sunshine and pleasant temperatures!

The average high in May is 75 degrees F. The average low is 55 degrees F. I still like to bring a jacket with me for the evenings.

June

The weather at Disneyland in June is starting to heat up! It’s not miserable though. The average high is 81 degrees F. The average low is 61 degrees F. Mornings can be a bit foggy, it’s called “June Gloom”. But, don’t let it worry you! The fog burns off by the afternoon.

July

The weather at Disneyland in July is hot! You can expect very high temperatures. Don’t be surprised if the maximum temperature reaches over 100 degrees. if Be at the parks early so you can take advantage of the cooler morning hours. The average high is 84 degrees F. The average low is 66 degrees F. The park often feels even hotter because of all the concrete and people around. Taking a break back at your hotel mid day can be a life saver!

The evening hours are much cooler and the longer park hours during the summer are a bonus!

August

The weather at Disneyland in August is hot! Be at the parks early so you can take advantage of the cooler morning hours. The average high is 86 degrees F. The average low is 66 degrees F. The park often feels even hotter because of all the concrete and people around. Taking a break back at your hotel mid day can be a life saver!

September

The weather at Disneyland is still quite hot in September, it’s usually just as hot as the summer months. You can expect warmer temperatures to continue all month. The average high is around 84 degrees fahrenheit and 63 degrees for the average low.

The weather is just starting to cool off at Disneyland in October. The average high is around 77 degrees fahrenheit and 61 degrees for the average low.

November

The weather at Disneyland in November is usually very mild, comfortable weather, which is another good reason to visit this month! The average high at Disneyland in November is 71.4°F (21.9°C) with an average low of 56.3°F (13.5°C). There’s usually very little rain.

Day time temperatures will likely be perfect, but it can get chilly in the mornings and evenings. I suggest bringing a jacket and long pants. You don’t want to get stuck buying expensive Disney sweatshirts if you didn’t plan on it! Keep an eye on the weather as your trip gets closer to make sure you’re prepared.

December

Disneyland weather in December usually has very mild weather, which is another good reason to visit this month! Cooler temperatures and holiday decorations make it a great time to visit! The average high at Disneyland in December is 70°F (21.1°C) with an average low of 48°F (8.8°C). There’s usually very little rain.

Day time temperatures will likely be perfect, but it can get chilly in the mornings and evenings.

I suggest bringing a jacket and long pants. You don’t want to get stuck buying expensive Disney sweatshirts if you didn’t plan on it! An extra jacket, hat and gloves might also be a good idea. Keep an eye on the weather as your trip gets closer to make sure you’re prepared.
